Actually over the same period, the ACCC sent 4 notices to Optus, 3 to Vodaphone, 9 to Virgin and 1 to Soul.

Then there's this:
http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/87488/fromItemId/621277

The ACCC has actually held a rather even handed approach. I note that you're a Telstra employee, so defence of your employer is understandable.

I think it sounds like doing what they should be doing - ensuring that a monopoly holder does not exceed itself and attempting to protect the consumers it is supposed to be protecting.

As for extreme grace... wanting to regulate everything that Telstra sell? That doesn't sound like grace to me. Sounds like power-hungry.

Can't speak for the anti-competitive behaviour... most of it has been in the area of ADSL from my understanding, which is not where I work.

Vendetta?

There have been five anti-competitive notices handed to Telstra for which no court proceedings have ever sought.

The penalty of $3m/day for the action has never even once been attempted to be recovered.

Sounds like the Telco is under extreme grace not a vendetta.
