so what do I do now?
The Apple CEO said he expected a 3G model to be launched next “late next year”, by which time battery lives for 3G phones would be up in the five hours plus range
Do I still patiently await a 3G iPhone… even though it could be 12 months away? Or do I jump the gun and get a 2G one?
Oh the decisions!

you get a 2 g one now as ‘late next year’ will more than likely blow out to early the year after by which it will be 12 - 18 months and then you will be wanting an updated version…. :D

After speaking to someone at T-Mobile, they came to the conclusion that iTouch and iPhone apart from only minor differences are actually the same piece of hardware.
The difference? Arbitrage. Why would they sell one if it could be easily converted from the other. iPhone looks pretty cool I must admit… though I dare not buy one because it’s well-locked down to a network over here… hard wired in fact.

Mmm I think i agree Rollo.
But it’s definitely not hardwired to AT&T. It can be unlocked quite easily now - I’ve seen so with my own eyes :)
