I still maintain that Wishful Thinking’s Kicking Goals, Banging Gongs and High Fives All Round album is one of the greatest ever. It’s an incredibly awesome punk album. I always enjoy listening to it very loudly with my windows open :)

Today was quite the awesome day. It started out with a very nice sleep in. I did a bit of washing and things round the house before heading off to Sevo to get some amazing lunch ingredients… cos I’m awesome. Headed over to Thornleigh to pick up Debbie and head round to Jen & Howie‘s place. You see, it was time for me to complete my education in Die Hard by watching Die Hard 4.0. What a tops movie that was, even though I fell asleep for about 10 minutes in the middle of it :) Glad that I’ve seen all the Die Hards now… they are a good set of movies and I muchly enjoyed them.

Then the evening became rather testosterone filled: I headed out to Butterfly Farms at Wilberforce to meet up with the rest of the men from church and do some serious go karting. We had a BBQ while we waited for a group before us to finish, and then embarked on 4 separate races. I was lucky enough to get two races – the first one I was very much on my own and just enjoyed trying to chase down a guy a long way in front. But the second race was awesome – B2, Mark and I were all very close right from the go, and we stayed pretty close most of the way through the race. It was absolutely brilliant. But in the end, much to my frustration, B2 flogged me big time.

Looks like friends had plenty of fun too after I left this afternoon… :)

Looking forward to a good night’s sleep tonight. Then church tomorrow morning, catching up with b for a coffee, and then home to watch more V8s with the boys. And then off to visit Thornleigh Baptist at night… that will be quite interesting, as I have many people to meet, and who will want to meet me for the first time. Looking forward to it though :)
