musical and coffee adventures ahead

Today was a pretty tops day. A new person started who is taking over my job. We have more than two weeks to handover everything, and she’s already been doing this job for about 2 years – just in a different state. So all I need to do is introduce the customers to her, and she’s all set. And that should really be done by Monday or Tuesday. Quite relaxing :)

It was just fun getting to know her and hearing how different the job we do is in WA – good excuse for us and a couple of others in the team to just go and have coffee for a couple of hours :)

I’ve just finished cleaning out the Commodore – tomorrow it goes to a new home. And I collect something new tomorrow afternoon…

And now, I’m feeling like playing some acoustic and practicing some of the songs for Sunday. After that, it’ll be time to head down to the church for practice for the W4W event on Saturday evening. I’m bassing there, and that will be lots of fun – not so fun is the bit where I discovered my bass needs another service after only being 6 months old. No fretless bassing on the weekend. :(

But then afterwards, it will be off to Hornsby for late-night-latte adventures! A couple of Kedron friends and I did this a couple of months ago, and we thought it would be fun to do again. No dramas that I won’t be home til at least midnight – it’ll still be fun!

Then, bring on Friday. The bestest day of the week. And it very well may go down as being the best Friday of the year…
