I’m looking forward to the weekend only being just around the corner! Tomorrow will be Debbie’s birthday adventure which will be a lot of fun… even though it will be cold.
We had the last Kedron meeting last night, which went really well. So very happy about that. We talked through the teen camp program and I volunteered some people to lead activities that they’d suggested (that’s going to be my new Kedron rule: you suggest an activity, you’ve just volunteered to run it), and then we went through the rest of the program and people were really quick to put up their hands to lead things. It was very encouraging from my point of view. So those frustrations are relieved slightly; but there’s still quite a bit I need to do. Saturday evening/Sunday will be going hard on the emails I think - there’s a lot I have to send out.
Today will be a bit of an intense day at work I think. Late yesterday arvo, we came across a massive sale opportunity. Sales this size usually take about 6 weeks - customer presents opportunity, we respond with pricing, they think about it, and then sign. That’s usually a 6-week timeline. But this customer wants to decide on a carrier by Tuesday. That’s very crazy. So that will be pretty much all I focus on today here in the office - just getting that proposal done and looking awesome, and just hoping that our off-the-shelf pricing will be ok… cos we don’t have time to go and get approval for customised pricing. Will see how it goes.
And then sometime today I’m very much looking forward to heading across the road to the Apple Store and wandering around in there for a little while. Debbie messaged me this morning and told me not to spend too much money - so does that mean I’m allowed to buy something?! :)
There also may be a visit to a new Max Brenner store here in the city. I don’t know where it is… but Lyndal does. And so we will have to have a mobiles meeting there I think.
