sometimes mondays aren’t all bad

This one was quite a beauty.

After a nice sleep in, Debbie and I headed into Hornsby Westfields. We lined up for a long time to get some movie tickets, and then headed to the well loved Hornsby food court for some lunch. I enjoyed a pretty tops burger, and some even better chips. Seeing as the 2pm session was full, we had to wait til the 3:30 session … and so we wandered around various shops and ran into fun people and did some talking.

But finally, we headed to the movies to watch Narnia #2, Prince Caspian. It had a lot to live up to; the first one was pretty awesome. But I reckon it delivered. It was quite a bit darker, which had already been mentioned by quite a few reviewers. And I generally don’t enjoy “fantasy” type movies… but Prince Caspian was just awesome.

I was quite humbled by a part in the movie [don't worry, not a spoiler] where Lucy finally meets up with Azlan, and says something like, “I always knew you were here!” It was just so incredibly symbolistic of how I want to be as I look to God. It was a very special moment in the movie.

Tonight is going to be pretty awesome too though…

At 9pm Sydney time, The Offspring are putting up their whole album on the internet to listen to. Don’t know for how long, so I will be staying up to listen to that. Very exciting :) Hope I’m not disappointed though..

And then at 11pm Sydney time is the opening of Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference, where Steve Jobs will deliver his keynote presentation, and hopefully reveal a wondrous 3G iPhone! But I don’t think I will stay up for that - I think I’ll just get up earlier and read about it before work tomorrow.

edit: Hmm, my maths clearly sucks. Offspring is at 1am tonight, and WWDC is at 3am. That sucks a lot.
