Christmas busyness, then post-Christmas nothingness
Have just finished day 3 of 4 of my long weekend. And it has been pretty excellent all round.
Christmas day was easily the busiest I’ve ever had. Churched it up in the morning with Debbie, which was tops – it was a huuuge service, but cool. And then Debs and I did our own presents at home. But that was only brief… we headed off to our own family Christmases. I began the journey of heading out to Newport to my Aunty’s place… and my goodness the traffic was insane! Everyone going in all different directions for lunch meant that my half hour journey actually took about an hour.
But lunch in Newport was quite awesome. My family are great and we had such awesome food. I loved being there… as hard as it was to spend my first Christmas with Debbie without Debbie. But I headed back to hang with her family briefly before heading back to Toongabbie to have presents with Mum & Dad and sister. And then Debbie and I headed over to visit Jenny, Howie & Oscar and have present fun with them too.
Like I said, very busy day… but it was pretty awesome.
And then yesterday was possibly the best day in ages – Debbie and I had nothing planned and did basically nothing all day too. We did go for a bit of an adventure to Hornsby Westfield though, where I bought Guitar Hero World Tour. Have been waiting for it for quite a while :) Only the guitar and game at the moment… maybe one day Debbie will let me get a drum kit for it too!
And today has been similar… not doing much at all. But I have been doing some house cleaning and a little unpacking as well. And of course, lots of guitar heroing too.
